I am grateful for the opportunity to have spoken at such an important event and contributed to the global efforts towards promoting sustainable water management practices worldwide.
I had the honor of being a plenary speaker at the United Nations 2023 Water Conference, where I addressed some of the most pressing issues related to water insecurity and menstrual hygiene health and management. As a seasoned global health and sustainable development professional with over 15 years of experience, I emphasized the need to address these challenges to ensure that everyone, particularly women and girls, had access to clean water and proper sanitation.
The conference was a significant step towards achieving a sustainable future and ensuring that everyone has access to clean water and sanitation. It brought together policymakers, water experts, and stakeholders from around the world to discuss and find solutions to the pressing water-related issues affecting our planet. The focus of the conference was on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goal 6, which aimed to ensure access to clean water and sanitation for all. Additionally, the conference addressed challenges related to water scarcity, water pollution, and climate change, which are major issues affecting many countries.
